Uberteam blog

As you may have noted we were booked in to play a couple of the Combichrist gigs at the end of may. Well oddly enough the guys from Pluswelt (CC's booking agents) asked us if we wanted to hook ourselves onto the whole bunch of dates and it didn't take much soul searching to figure this was a good idea. Off the bat, we'll say that whatever you here thats all there is to it. What we've done is not intended to do anything other than consolidate our work over the last couple of years in the UK and open up... Read more

 1. Camel Crusher  http://www.camelaudio.com/camelcrusher.php For a freebie this is the dogs bollocks it really is. So many applications, from adding a touch of warmth through to f===king sh== up big time.  2. Stylus RMX http://www.spectrasonics.net/instruments/stylusrmx.html This ones all over the new material. I'm in love. Expensive, but awesome for this type of music, allowing so much rhythmic expression its ridiculous. 3. Audio Damage Rough Rider http://www.kvraudio.com/news/10037.html Another awesome freebie. As good a compressor as I've heard. albeit better for more experimental and extreme stuff. 4. REFX Vanguard http://refx.com/?lang=en&page=products/vanguard/summary Overused. Overfamiliar. But also a real usefull workhorse synth which has some real punch and presence. Great for cutting leads. 5. Apple Logic Pro http://www.apple.com/logicstudio/ Can't now imagine... Read more

There's tons going on behind the scenes. Sorry if we're being secretive about developments. But things are happening. Be assured of that. If you're not yet brought the new album DOS BTW you can do so from us here. Over on the merch shop specifically. Anything people can do to get the word out is always appreciated BTW. So let your friends know about this album. Its a top notch longplayer as I'm sure you know. And we encourage people to judge us on the music alone ;) Read more

Cos we ain't said nada about it here for some reason (stress over mail shit mainly !). Just wanted to say that we were blown away by the reaction we got on the night. Awesome audience, and big spenders too ;) We like you guys :P We had to knock one song off the set due to time problems, including the venue people not sorting our guest list and people not being able to get in as a result, but to me that was a performance I enjoyed, and I think the others did too. The new live set up is proving... Read more

Under the cross. Big Ugly Dumbness basically. In a good way. With some weirdness in the backseat, chuckling gently away. Seemed a great way to start off by saying "this album is way harder kids". Also gave me a chance to vent my dislike of people who just can't get over the fact that we have no idea what happens when we do, but no matter how many big telescopes we build, the bearded guy in the sky just isn't fucking THERE. Say What ? More messing around. Weirdly the percussion owes a surprising amount to my dalliances with Shranz Techno. Seriously. Blended with... Read more

..for making our show at Club Deviant a kick-ass ride.  An hour-long set of Uber-madness, a room full of people going mental - we could hardly have asked for more. Support was ably provided by Coreline, whose set featured the kind of randomness (cake and books, a dance-off with a scuba diver, and of course, Giant Robots) you would expect from the only man in history to have Rickrolled Infest. It was a fantastic evening, and even the fact that it was fully daylight by the time we crawled back to Sheffield couldn't put a damper on it. Read more

Hey folks, Ben here For those who don't know, I'm the one that's actually developed the official Uber-corner of the web here.  It's been long, confusing and frustrating at times, but I've learnt a hell of a lot of new stuff, and hopefully I've not made too bad a job of it.. If you've got any comments about the site - stuff you like, stuff you hate, new stuff you'd like to see added, etc - please let us know, either on the contact page, or you can email me directly on Carbonel@Uberbyte.net. Hope you like it! Welcome to da nation.. Read more
